The Shadow-Machine / Expanded Memories project

Here is a picture of another one of the Expanded Memories team's artistic works – the Shadow-Machine. This machine delves into memory, presence, and the symbolic nature of shadows, as representations of traces. Also, sound plays a pivotal role in the machine, amplifying the sense of immersion and also the overall experience. To construct this piece, the team tested various types of wood, and experimented with many projection techniques. They also tested different mechanisms and brought the concept to life using 3D software. The future plan is to create a manual for it, so that anyone interested could recreate and do their own shadow-machine.
