Daithí is Head of Research at the Institute for Art, Design + Technology (IADT), responsible for supporting staff and research students across the Institute and championing and promoting excellent research internally and externally. Before joining IADT, he was a co-director of the R&D partnership ‘Future Screens NI’ and a director of the Northern Bridge Doctoral Training Partnership, and held academic posts at universities including Queen’s University Belfast and Newcastle University. He has published widely on law and technology, intellectual property, media policy and regulation, and related issues, and was for five years a member of the Irish Open Data Governance Board.
