Jokelien Vanden Broucke, holds a master's degree in audiovisual arts - specializing in film and television. She is a non-fiction filmmaker passionate about crafting narratives that resonate with a wide and diverse audience.
Her journey in filmmaking has been shaped by a combination of formal education and hands-on experience in the industry, where she immersed herself in every aspect of non-fiction filmmaking, from conceptualization to scriptwriting to post-production. She is currently working as a director in the non-fiction filmmaking field and her work is regularly broadcast on Belgian national television.
Alongside her work in the industry Jokelien serves as a lecturer at LUCA School of Arts, where she strives to share her knowledge and expertise with aspiring filmmakers. Her commitment to teaching is driven by a genuine desire to inspire and guide emerging talent in realizing their creative potential.
Motivated by the desire to create impactful stories that challenge norms and ignite thought, Jokelien remains dedicated to her craft. Through projects like FilmEu+, she seeks to connect with fellow storytellers and collaborators, with a particular focus on engaging with students and professionals across Europe, fostering a community of shared creativity and inspiration.
