Kris Cardinaels has a PhD in computer sciences – Learning Objects Lifecycle and Automatic Metadata Generation – from the KULeuven (B) and is working for LUCA School of Arts since 2001. He is specializing in databases, mobile applications and tailored information systems. Until 2020 he was working as a lecturer in the study of Communication and Media Design. Currently, he is mainly involved in the development and implementation of teaching-related projects.

Since 2018 he is also a guest lecturer at the Fachhochschule Aachen (D) for the course Mobile Information Systems in the informatics study programme.
