Mara Sap was born on November 21, 2001 in Deinze (Belgium). After completing her secondary studies in ‘science and mathematics’ in Ghent, she decided to go
into a more creative direction during college. After a year of 'drama studies' in Antwerp, she ended up Genk.
Here she studies 'Television-Film' at LUCA School of Arts. She is currently (2024) in her last year, and is busy developing her master's movie. This will be a documentary in Thailand, be sure to take a look at her Instagram page @interlude_docu!!
Mara loves traveling and filming and she hopes to combine these two passions to make meaningful (travel) documentaries in the future.
She likes to work hard and dream big! She also started her own film company 'aura visuals' together with a classmate. In this way, she hopes to earn some extra money through her passion so that she can reinvest in her master's project.
Furthermore, she was a 'youth culture ambassador' for the city of Antwerp in 2019-2020 and now she works passionately as a FilmEU ambassador.
