Mart Raun is the Visiting Lecturer of Audiovisual Arts at Baltic Film, Media and Arts School (BFM) of Tallinn University. He is Head of two programmes at BFM: Kino Eyes - The European Film Masters and Audiovisual Media (BA). 2017-2021 he was also the Head of the Viewfinder JMD programme. He works as a cinematographer, colorist, screenwriter and storyboard artist. In addition to filmmaking and teaching he has been writing about films since 2012 and worked as a film critic for Estonian newspaper Äripäev, one of the most successful economic newspapers in Europe. His more notable works as cinematographer include feature films “Kormoranid ehk Nahkpükse ei pesta” (2011), ‘Kids of The Night’ (2021) and a short film “Distance” (2012). The latter was chosen by Locarno International Film Festival 2012 - Pardi di Domani short film competition programme.
