2025 NECS Conference in Lisbon

Lusófona University is proud to host the 2025 NECS (Network for European Cinema and Media Studies) Conference in Lisbon, welcoming scholars, researchers, and professionals from around the globe to an engaging exploration of the themes of Navigation, Discovery, and Journey.

The conference will delve into how these interconnected concepts influence and are influenced by film and media, spanning cinema, television, digital media, and immersive technologies. Through this lens, participants will reflect on both the historical and contemporary dimensions of cinematic and media journeys, from the classical narratives of early cinema to the innovations of today’s digital and immersive storytelling.
