The Congo VR team has recently visited the Africa Museum archives in Tervuren, Belgium. This long-awaited visit allowed the access to the preparatory drawings and paintings that Alfred Bastien made during his visit to Congo in 1911 and that would be the reference to the large Panorama of Congo, first presented at the Ghent Colonial Exhibition in 1913. These images will now be compared to the different sections of the Panorama in order to understand the decisions made by A. Bastien and the different production phases of the Panorama.
