Today at Marche du Film, Palais des Festivals, Main Stage (Riviera) & Online, Crescine, an ambitious three-year initiative backed by Horizon Europe to reshape the European film and audiovisual industry landscape was launched.
Manuel José Damásio, Head of the Film and Media Arts Dept of Lusófona University/ FilmEU and Crescine Coordinator, Sten-Kristian Saluveer, Strategic Advisor, Head of Cannes NEXT Marché du Film - Festival de Cannes, Indrek Ibrus, Professor of Media Innovation, Tallinn University, Jakob Isak Nielsen, Associate Professor, Aarhus Universitet, Tim Raats, Associate Professor /Lead Researcher, IMEC-SMIT-VUBVrije Univeriteit Brussel, Jaka Primorac, IRMO Croatia, Vejune Zemaityte, Tallinn University presented the project.
Crescine's primary goal is to empower and transform the film industry in small markets in European countries. The focus territories are Estonia, Lithuania, Denmark, Ireland, Belgium (Flanders), Croatia, and Portugal.
Crescine is achieving this by launching the State of European Film platform. This unparalleled data insight tool offers comprehensive, actionable data, insights, and recommendations to invigorate the audiovisual ecosystem.
