As the film industry continues to evolve in response to changing audience expectations and rapid innovation, the need for professionals to stay current through ongoing training and upskilling has never been more important. The panel discussion, "Bridging the Gap—Preparing for the Future through Training and Up-skilling", will explore the essential skills filmmakers and creatives will need in the coming years and how the industry can better prepare its workforce for emerging challenges. A central theme will be identifying who should take responsibility for organizing and financing these vital training programs. The panel will also examine the pressures that continuous upskilling places on professionals, especially freelancers and creatives. This session is ideal for those looking to understand how the film industry is preparing for the future and how to approach upskilling strategically to stay competitive.

All European Universities alliances are joining forces for a collaboration of unprecedented scale. The ForEU4ALL project – funded by the European Commission and running for 48 months, that commenced on 1 November 2024 – forms a unified structure, a Community of Practice, and consists of over 60 alliances, 560+ universities. The group will foster a collective and supportive environment to share best practices among all alliances, such as the FilmEU, and the wider higher education sector in Europe. The group will cooperate around areas, such as education, governance, research, and innovation.
FilmEU is glad to welcome Olga Wessels, Head of ECIU University Brussels Office, and Kevin Guillaume, Secretary General of Circle U. European University who in their public talk will lay out the roadmap ahead regarding this pioneering initiative.
