FilmEU - WIRE Horizon Mission pilots

WHAT IS THE CALL ABOUT?

FilmEU_WIRE brings together eight European higher education institutions to collaborate on jointly promoting artistic research, innovation and educational activities in the multidisciplinary field of film and media arts.

The WIRE Horizon Mission pilots will foster the use of artistic research to address the six Horizon Missions. FilmEU WIRE advocates that artistic research can play a crucial role in addressing ecological challenges in Europe by fostering creativity, raising awareness, promoting dialogue, and inspiring action. In 2024, the FilmEU WIRE call for Horizon pilots will be focused on the mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030.”

The FilmEU Alliance will select up to two Horizon Mission pilots to be awarded each with up to 15.000 euros.

Each pilot proposal should be interdisciplinary, include groupings/clusters of FilmEU senior and junior researchers, and plan mobility actions aiming at knowledge transfer to members in widening countries. Fundable items: artistic production; dissemination (i.e. participation in conferences; fee for open-source publication; artistic exhibition). In addition to the 15,000 euros included in this funding, the pilot can also benefit from hiring HR and equipment. Once the pilot is approved, a template form will be provided to include additional HR and equipment. Please contact your HEI research coordinator about the HR possibilities. The maximum duration of a pilot is 20 months, starting in June 2024 and ending in January 2026.
